piano 104th bash

Today we watched our second daughter at her first piano recital.
She was GREAT!!!

It was also Great Great Nana's 104
th Birthday.

After the recital we came home for a nice little family party.

Simple nice finger food.

My kids love deviled eggs.

Pickles are a must with tea party sandwiches.

The kids loved the olives.

Everything was colour co-ordinated...even the fresh fruit.

Pretty prefect party cupcakes.

GG Nana did not want a cake just for her.

So I made 24 chocolate and 24 vanilla.

The Birthday girl blowing out her candle.
Yes 104!

Cutie Pie loved the chocolate icing.

My Cutie Pie screamed bye-bye
through the storm door as guests left.
It was a lovely day!

Thank you Mom for the photos!

GG Nana enjoyed hearing The Bird playing her pieces at the recital. The Bird did so well for her first time! Both Nanas were beaming with pride!

It was a perfect day for GG Nana's 104th birthday celebration. She got to eat her favourite foods and be with her grandkids, her great grandkids and her great great grandkids. She went home with a big smile and a cupcake! 8-)

You did a great job putting all the food together and we all had a wonderful day!!

Love and kisses...
Mom

Wow man that is SOME spread!!
Your Nana looked like she had a great time. I'll repeat the question I posed on Kahshe's blog: does she still speak with a Scottish accent?
Did she eat many of those cakes?
I somehow have this feeling that many of them went to the younger generation
